Packaging Trays for Large Hardware & Machinery Parts
Custom EVA foam trays for heavy hardware and machine parts, giving heavy-duty transit protection against impact and abrasion.
Project Background
A machinery manufacturer needed to ship heavy hardware parts (individual pieces weighing over 5 kg) safely to customers nationwide. Conventional foam packaging gave insufficient protection and transport damage was frequent.
Our Solution
We produced custom packaging trays from high-density (80 kg/m³) EVA foam, designing a full wrap-around structure based on each part's shape. The foam's high compressive strength and excellent rebound withstand sustained heavy loads and absorb impact energy effectively even on rough journeys.
Customer Feedback
After switching to EVA foam trays, the transit damage rate fell from 8% to zero and customer complaints dropped sharply. Although unit packaging cost is slightly higher than conventional foam, the savings in claims and rework made the total cost lower.
